Hi there… Jeff here with Dynamic Outdoor Spaces. I design and install custom landscapes primarily in the North Fork Valley of Colorado (Paonia, Hotchkiss, Crawford, Cedaredge and surrounding areas). I am happy to discuss design/build projects in Crested Butte, Telluride and Carbondale/Aspen as well. I am also open to design projects throughout Colorado.
I have a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from UMASS Amherst, a background and interest in regenerative/permaculture based landscapes (12 day Permaculture Design Course cert. from Vida Verde, Ecuador) and a passion for designing and/or installing sculpture. I have lived and worked in northern New Mexico, central Arizona, the mountains and foothills around Boulder Colorado, and in the Tampa Bay of Florida. During extended travels with my wife Diana, I have worked on resort and residential projects in Ecuador and Thailand as well. My project history includes: Downtown Revitalization and Urban Park Design, Residential Landscape Design and Installation, Pools, Spas, Outdoor Kitchen/Dining Environments, Commercial Landscapes, Home Remodeling and Construction, Sculpture, Real Estate Investing and Land Development Partnering.
My passion and value lay in sculpting the earth in order to define spaces that inspire. Using the design vocabulary of Trees, Shrubs, Plants and Stone to animate or enhance the land. Finding the way that water, hot water, and fire features want to be designed and sited to create the most pleasing environment. I enjoy creating spaces that make people smile, feel safe and inspired - connecting them to nature, their surroundings, each other and themselves. Using a light hand on the land. Working with what is there to enhance beauty and function. Minimizing footprint and impact on the earth.
I look forward to working with people who are open to new ideas… folks with vision - who can see beyond what is there. Also happy to collaborate with those willing to have faith in the creative process and want to enjoy an outdoor space that will inspire and thrill them.
